Rants and Chocolate Cravings

It's currently 11:19 pm. Not going to specify the time-zone, but yes, it is late. I am currently suffering from a lack of sleep due to staying up till two last night. And then was awaken at 10:30 by my two German Shepherds. One's quite the gentle and the other an idiot who can't get up on my low-rise bed by himself. Yeah, I had to get out and lift him up. Imagine that, lifting a full-grown German Shepherd that he can get onto my bed. And then after that, I had two big dogs at the foot of my bed and no space for my legs.

And onto another subject...I had a sudden feeling of spoiledness (that's not even a words, but surely, you, my nonexistent reader, shan't care about this outrageous error in my oh so fine blog) today when I had jumped into my pool with my street clothes on. It was raining outside and my two dogs were running around the pool like crazy. They hate getting in, but love getting wet no the tanning deck. (If you don't know what a tanning deck is, I'll see if I can find a picture and place it below) Back to me feeling spoiled. Here I was, swimming in water treated to be kept clean for the enjoyment of playing in it when little kids in Africa were thirsty and hungry. I felt so bad and I honestly had no clue what to do about that feeling. I thought of finding a way to collect money to donate it, but how would I do that? My mother, who is an overprotective person, doesn't really let me do things on my own. A lemonade stand? Selling little trinkets? Knocking on doors?
Does anybody have any ideas? No hands? Who am I kidding, I don't expect any hands. Well, if I get any, tell me in the comments section.

I was on a plane back from San Francisco three days ago and I was watching The Lorax because I had wanted to see it in theaters but didn't due to hearing that it was indeed terrible. (The fact that Zac Effron was in it was a bonus even though it was just his voice.) So I watched the movie and sadly it wasn't that great. As usual, Seuss's ideas were amazing, the movie just wasn't made that well, and the songs frankly sucked. But one thing in the movie struck me. The man who practically owned the town was a gentleman by the name O'Hare and he was selling bottled air. Now, I know you're think, that's totally ridiculous. Who would by bottled air? The air quality outside the little bubble of the perfect city was terrible, so clean air was kinda vital. But selling it? We already do that with water. I mean, are planet is 70% water and we still have to pay for getting clean decent water. Yeah, a very small fraction is clean, but if you had talked to Native American about that a couple hundred years ago... At one of the places I stayed at in California when I was on vacation had a framed copy of letter from a Native American chief to President Roosevelt (not sure which one) a reply to the President's request to purchase the Native American's land. The chief had so kindly and so beautifully stated how ridiculous the idea of selling and buying earth and sky was. In a way buying property makes sense, but yet it doesn't.
I wonder what the human society has come to.

Well this post certainly has been very serious. I don't really know why, I really should lighten up a bit.

I'm really craving chocolate right now, but I go downstairs and sneak some chocolate my mom would kill me. Chocolate at night isn't a good idea. Well to me it is, but my body wants to remain healthy and my teeth are screaming no. Speaking of which I need to go brush them.

Ciao!

Tandem Bikes

You know what I've come to realize? People don't like other people who tend to act a lot like them selves. Take my dear sweet (note: my voice is dripping with tons of sarcasm) mother, doesn't really like it when I act similar to the way she acts when she's mad. I do act a lot like her when I'm mad and I get in a lot of trouble for it. But enough whining non-exsistant readers, I'm sure you'd rather hear about the beautiful city of San Francisco. Yes that does sound like a lovely idea. What does one do while vacationing in he Golden Gate City other than see the golden gate it's self? Why Alcatraaz of course!! But guess who's not going to Alcatraaz? Me. I did, however, bike on the golden gate bridge. Now that was fun and as an added bonus, I got to see my athletically lacking mother and my stubborn sister ride a double bikey thing, a tandem bike. Yeah that was funny. Now we're going to go kite flying in Berkely. Doesn't that sound like fun. I bet your super jealous right now because I know I would be :) Well, I gotta go by greetings from San Francisco!

Greetings!!

Thanks to Heather for following my blog. And now to business. I am currently writing on my iPhone so I apologize to those of you actually reading this because there are going to be a few mistakes. And AlaskaEverfall and kindly added me to some list of bloggers she was supposed to collect an I am to answer these questions so here they are!!
 1. Do you want to be a full-time writer? If not, what do you want to be?
No writing is just a hobby of mine. I want to be a doctor. The thought of being able to save or help lives just feels amazing to me.
 2. Why do you write?
I find it to be a great stress reliever and way to vent out my emotions. And it's basically fun!!
3. What are you strengths/weaknesses in writing?
Oh my god GRAMMAR!! And I like to consider myself good at setting a scene and painting pictures with details.
4. Something you can't stand reading in books? Cheesy romance because I lOve a good romance novel. And Twilight/vampire diaries references. Jeez people lay off the vampires and werewolves.
5. When did you start writing and why?
I've been writing since I think 1st or 2nd grade and I just love makIng up stories. I guesss it was just a good way of expressing myself.
 6. Name your top 3 favourite books.
I have way to many to favor one over the other but these are some that I have found myself enjoying through the years(these are in no particular order): Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine The Ranger's Apprentice Series by John Flanagan Tintin graphic novels by Hèrge
7. Share an excerpt of your writing with us!
An excerpt from my short, Masquerade: It's a silent night filled with a sprinkle of the finest stars and a sliver of the purest moon. Sweet harmonies fill the halls and everyone seemed euphoric, drunk on sweet bliss and the most expensive of Parisian champagnes. Enter the halls of anonymity, halls of the masked dance, the halls of masquerade.
 8. In the writing/novel/short story/poem you're currently writing, what inspired you?
Well currently I'm on vacation so I haven't really been working on anything and I'm the kind of author who has a lot of projects going on at the same time but for my novel So Yesterday a character is facing troubles with her mother who happens to be very overprotective like my own. She also has a little sister who is terribly annoying like my own.
9. What's one thing you hate about writing/reading?
Cliched moments and grammar. Well I guess that's two things but suck it up invisible readers. I hate it when I see cliched moments and I hate it when I write something cliched. Also grammar because I never bother to go over my work before I publish it but it somewhat bugs me when I see grammar issues in other works. Yeah, I'm pretty hypocritical. Oh and I just remembered one more thing: choppy sentences. I try extremely hard to lengthen mine but when I read something with choppy sentences, I literally cringe.
10. How do you get inspired?
Sometimes ideas just pop into my head like when I'm about to fall asleep or a dream or sometimes in the shower or when I'm just laying on m bed, trying to do my homework. And other times, it's my surroundings. Where I am, what I'm doing, you know all that good stuff.
11. How often do you write?
I try to do a little everyday but since I haven't access to an computer for a good week and I've been slipping in and out of places with phone reception, I haven't writing something for a while.
Well there you have it. Eleven questions answered. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to nominate other bloggrs so AlaskaEverfall, if you're reading this, now what do I do?
And happy fourth of July from San Francisco!! I know it's after the fourth but I had started writing this on the fourth but had to leave to go see fireworks over the Golden Gate Bridge. We left too late to get parking and actually see fireworks over the bridge bridge but I did see fireworks in San Fran!!
Haha!! I'd like see you type that on a phone. And again I apologize to all of my non-existent readers for the grammar errors.
See yah later! ~Jasper
Update 7/8/12: I'm home now and am fixing all errors on a laptop.
